Tuesday, October 4th

Reading: Today in reading we continued to tap into our inner voices. We read from, Frog and Toad Together, and recorded our thoughts as we went. The students definitely had some intersting thoughts on the book.

Encourage your students to ask, connect, and comment on books as they read them at home. This is such an important piece to understanding a text.


We completed a quick phonics lesson today on "th" words. Students created a list of words with "th" at the begining and "th" at the end.


Math: At this point in the chapter students have learned how to subtract numerous ways including the use of manipulatives (fingers, cubes, etc), the use of pictures, and the use of number bonds. Slowly but surely students are learning their facts. Keep up the good work at home!


Science: Today we continued to work on our "Diary of a Bee" book. The students completed the second page of the book using words, pictures, and captions.
