Reading: Today we read the book, The Diary of a Fly, and used our fly swatters to swat the key details. This is still a very difficult topic for students. Make sure you discuss finding important details when reading with your student at home! We looked at the plural endings -s and -es and learned a new chant and dance. I will get a video up soon!

Math: Today we took the pretest for subtraction facts to 10. I will be sending the addition post tests home this Friday! The subtraction unit is a tough one. Please review addition and subtraction facts at home! Math logs will be due this Friday!

Science: We read about bee's structures and life cycles today. Then we began writing our own books titled, The Diary of a Bee. I told students that we will be publishing the books in our own classroom library when we finish. Exciting stuff!
