"The Best Day Ever!"

An amazing thing happened in our classroom today- one of our monarch butterflies came out of its chrysalis! And the best part was we were here to witness it all...and, boy, was it exciting. We watched as the tiny butterfly slowly emerged from her chrysalis, which by this time had turned completely transparent. Her wings were dripping wet as she crawled around her little cage. Slowly but surely her wings dried and we were able to see how beautiful she really was. Once our butterfly was dried and ready we got her out and introduced her to her new world. It was truly magical and the kids have now decided that today was "the best day ever." Isn't life grand?!

**Tomorrow we go on our Charlotte's Web field trip. We will be leaving school at 11:00 and returning at 1:30. Following this play we will be reading the book, Charlotte's Web, as a class. This would be a great book to follow at home for DEARABBY!

**Our classroom website is now up and running. Please take some time to look at the many math and language arts websites I have placed for you on this website. These can be used for DEARABBY or Murphy Math Log. You will also find some important documents that you can download...just in case they get misplaced!
